Psalms 89
Being that Baha'u'llah was a descendant of king David
and that Baha'u'llah ruled upon the throne of king David,
it is appropriate now to reflect upon:
The Covenant between God and King David
  1. I will sing of thy steadfast love, O LORD, for ever; with my mouth I will proclaim thy faithfulness to all generations.

  2. For thy steadfast love was established for ever, thy faithfulness is firm as the heavens.

  3. Thou hast said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant:

  4. 'I will establish your descendants for ever, and build your throne for all generations.'" [Selah]

  5. Let the heavens praise thy wonders, O LORD, thy faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones!

  6. For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD,

  7. a God feared in the council of the holy ones, great and terrible above all that are round about him?

  8. O LORD God of hosts, who is mighty as thou art, O LORD, with thy faithfulness round about thee?

  9. Thou dost rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, thou stillest them.

  10. Thou didst crush Rahab like a carcass, thou didst scatter thy enemies with thy mighty arm.

  11. The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine; the world and all that is in it, thou hast founded them.

  12. The north and the south, thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon joyously praise thy name.

  13. Thou hast a mighty arm; strong is thy hand, high thy right hand.

  14. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of thy throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before thee.

  15. Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance,

  16. who exult in thy name all the day, and extol thy righteousness.

  17. For thou art the glory of their strength; by thy favor our horn is exalted.

  18. For our shield belongs to the LORD, our king to the Holy One of Israel.

  19. Of old thou didst speak in a vision to thy faithful one, and say: "I have set the crown upon one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people.

  20. I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him;

  21. so that my hand shall ever abide with him, my arm also shall strengthen him.

  22. The enemy shall not outwit him, the wicked shall not humble him.

  23. I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him.

  24. My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

  25. I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.

  26. He shall cry to me, 'Thou art my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'

  27. And I will make him the first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.

  28. My steadfast love I will keep for him for ever, and my covenant will stand firm for him.

  29. I will establish his line for ever and his throne as the days of the heavens.

  30. If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my ordinances,

  31. if they violate my statutes and do not keep my commandments,

  32. then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with scourges;

  33. but I will not remove from him my steadfast love, or be false to my faithfulness.

  34. I WILL NOT VIOLATE MY COVENANT, or alter the word that went forth from my lips.

  35. Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David.

  36. His line shall endure for ever, his throne as long as the sun before me.

  37. Like the moon it shall be established for ever; it shall stand firm while the skies endure." [Selah]

(Psalms 89)

The genealogy of Baha'u'llah goes back 6000 years through David to Abraham and to Adam. It shows and demonstrates the unfailing promise of God, that God never makes a promise but that he keeps it, and that the promise of God is everlasting and continual. Throughout the history of the world, through warring dynasties, the rise and fall of many great civilizations, surviving all calamities and catastrophes, the line of King David has continued in an unbroken and everlasting succession, protected by God. All those who have opposed this line of David have been vanquished and eradicated off the face of the planet, by their own evil designs and karma that have come back upon them like the boomerang effect. As Jesus has said: "the bread you cast upon the water comes back to you" and "What ye sow, so shall ye reap." As it is written: "They shall be judged by what they have done." And again, "Verily we wronged them not but they wronged themselves."

This genealogy is the sign of God, so that we can recognize the true Universal House of Justice of Baha'u'llah from impostors who attempt to set up something else in place of the Plan of God for the government of this world. The only government for this world that the people will accept is the one prophesied and promised by Jesus Christ in the Lord's Prayer. This is the government of the Kingdom of God on earth as it is heaven.

The Kingdom of God is a real Kingdom with laws, subjects and a king. It is the government of God ruling from the throne of King David, which is the Executive Branch of the "House of the Lord" spoken of in Isaiah chapter 2, and delineated in the Covenant of Baha'u'llah as the Universal House of Justice with the Davidic King as its president.

"This House of Justice enacteth the laws and the government enforceth them. The legislative body must reinforce the executive, the executive must aid and assist the legislative body so that through the close union and harmony of these two forces, the foundation of fairness and justice may become firm and strong, that all the regions of the world may become even as Paradise itself." (Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha, page 15)

Baha'u'llah's father sat upon the throne of King David. His grandfather sat upon the throne of King David. His great grandfather sat upon the throne of King David, all the way back in an unbroken line of father to son descendants of King David seated upon David's throne back to King David himself.

All the people and nations of the planet will recognize Baha'u'llah as the second coming of Christ, and the living descendant of King David as the heir to David's throne. At that appointed hour, the people of all the world will elect the Universal House of Justice from the National Houses of Justice established in their Baha'i nations of the world. The watchword of this Kingdom "unity in diversity."

Baha'u'llah is from the line of King David. His father, Mirza Buzurg, was the Grand Vizier of the Persian Empire and he sat on the throne of David; as did his father and so on all the way up the line through Bostanai (called Baw in Persian), Liunan the son of Babatun, Shenazzar, Jehoiachin, and the rest, all the way back to King Solomon and finally to David himself. This is a pure, unbroken and meticulously recorded genealogy. Baha'u'llah ruled upon this throne of David making Him the long awaited "return of Christ," and the "Reigning Messiah" as well as the "Prince of Peace" mentioned in the book of Isaiah, chapter 9, verses 6 and 7.

Baha'u'llah passed the throne of David on to His eldest son, 'Abdu'l-Baha. Likewise, 'Abdu'l-Baha passed the throne of David on to his son, continuing the promise that God made to David, that his throne would endure forever and that there would always be a living descendant of him seated upon that throne. Today, the throne of David is continued in the Executive Branch of the Baha'i Faith.

'Abdu'l-Baha's son passed the throne of David on to his only son, who in turn passed this inheritance on to his son,the great-grandson of 'Abdu'l-Baha, who is alive in the world today and functions as the president of the Universal House of Justice of Baha'u'llah (see Isaiah 2), the Kingdom of God now established on earth as it is in heaven.

All of this is in fulfillment of God's never-ending promise to King David that his throne will endure for all generations.

Today, all the believers in God throughout the world of every nationality, ethic background and persuasion are happy, exceedingly happy! For today is the Day of God! Today is the Day that all the people of the world shall be set free from their slave masters and oppressors, and be able to freely elect the body of the Universal House of Justice that will bring that long awaited and sought after PEACE upon this planet.

"Peace on Earth without Justice is Tyranny."

Therefore all people are happy, for justice is finally established in the world in Baha'u'llah's Universal House of Justice that all the people can at last recognize and enter into God's Kingdom, for the descendant of David is the Sign God has given to distinguish His Kingdom, from out the tyrannical systems of moral men who are doomed to die.

Salvation! Redemption! Safety! Security! and Well-being! The Mercy of God and His Justice shall reign for ever more. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts has done this!
